Description: The arms illustrated are descibed heraldically as: Or, two scythes in saltire proper between two marttets in fess sable and in chief a mullet azure surmounted of a marttet sable. Writers in the past have attributed symbolism to the tinctures and charges of heraldry-thus, or (gold) is said to denote Generosity; sable(black), Wisdom; azure (blue), Loyalty: whilst 'proper' indicates natural color. The scythe signifies a Harvest of things hoped for: the marttet, Promptness; and the mullet, Virtue, Learning and Piety.
